I searched the internet looking for a program that I could use to assist in promoting and training for custom programs we write.
I looked at a lot, but WinCAM was the only one that had the features I was looking for at a price that made sense. I have only done a short sow with you eval copy so far but it looks like a great program!

At this moment I am too busy to write long stories. However, here you get shortly why I needed this product and why it seems to be excellent. I found link from www.tucows.com. I knew that Lotus has "Lotus Screen Cam" software, but it is only for Windows 95 or NT. I tested it with my Windows XP, but it doesn't work. Also, after using WinCAM 2000 I see big differences in quality.
Reason I needed this kind of product: one short movie tells more than 100000 words ! I needed to make fast good presentation about our Intranet Metrics- system (commented movie), and only way to do this is to use application like WinCAM 2000. I am also looking possibity to add ERP system etc. "training videos" to our Intranet portal by using application like this. Meaning, that we record movie how to use for instance ERP system, save that commented to the Intranet and then users can watch it from there any time. We have a lot of people working in shifts and therefore traditional class- based eduction is almost impossible.

I run a computer based teaching center in Central Oregon, mainly teaching displaced and injured workers who need to be rehired in an office environment. I have several students who come to my school from hundreds of miles away, because I am the closest place to their home with the classes they need to take. Currently, they will either drive the several hundred miles each day to take a class, or I will send them home with a book, where they will "self-teach". Often when they get "stuck" on a problem, it's very difficult or impossible to explain to them how to fix the problem, as they have practically no computer experience, and don't understand what I'm talking about over the phone, or there is some other miscommunication. So often times, they'll not be able to move on until they drive back to school, which can be weeks or months. Now, with WinCAM, I can use a book at the school, record exactly how to complete a lesson, convert it into an exec file (so I only have to tell them "Double click this file"), and they can see exactly how to do it correctly, and move on with their lesson. I expect WinCAM is going to save me and many students much frustration and driving! I hope to get the WinCAM Interactive Edition to add interactive teaching aids to all my classes. Even better is adding Linux-based classes, because WinCAM is the only product I could find, with all the sound effects, frame editing, and other features that comes in a Linux edition! This is really a great product that can help people solve little problems quickly and easily, but can add a whole new dimension to computer training for businesses, schools, and government! WinCAM2000 can be used for many purposes. Mostly I use it as a multimedia support when giving a presentation. No fear anymore whether the location has connection to the internet or not, or has the right resolution beamer. I just insert the CD-ROM with my WinCAM2000 recordings and things go smooth! I even don't have to split my attention between my presentation and navigating through the screens I want to show, the movie runs by itself. The spacebar is the only magic tool I use to pause and start....

I write custom accounting software. The biggest problem is documentation. No one, it seems reads help files except me.
I get a newsletter from ZDNET called Anchor Desk. There is a section which talks about specialized products that you normally don't hear about. This letter had three downloads for showing how something works with a move.
I tried one and didn't like it. Then I went to the evaluation copy of your program which i liked very much. However, I almost didn't buy it because of the price. Once I really got into it however, I found that documenting how to perform a task is very quick and since it is a movie, my clients will probably use it and not call me all the time. As far as I am concerned, the price is cheap for what it does for me. |

I was a long time Lotus ScreenCam user, than when I migrated my desktop to Win2k, it stopped working right. So I've been searching for a better mouse trap. WinCAM is that and much more. The editing features are well worth their weight in gold....Thanks for a great product, for so long I thought I had something great with ScreenCam, boy was I missing it. |

As my colleagues and I are sick of the pain caused by doing live demos in presentations, I was tasked with finding a decent PC screen recording product. Now I've found WinCam I don't need to look any further. WinCam is fantastic - incredibly easy and intuitive to use and the end results are superb.
